The above statement matches with the famous words of Dr.APJ ABDUL Kalam which goes like “Dreaming LOW IS A CRIME”,but not having a personal opinion is something that everyone does and here is how we can make a difference. My name is kunal pawar and I have got recommended for INDIAN AIR FORCE.
It all started back in 2014 or during my 10th when my father dramatically told to fill the form of SPI entrance exam.Like any other father he is quite conservative and a person of great ambition and vision, but unlike any other of my then classmates I didn’t stand anywhere.Struggling with English, weak in maths ,completely devoid of all the sportsman qualities I was person who wanted to do something different, something that was out of trend trend back then. It was good listening to my classmate speaking confidently about what they wanted to do and the popular careers old pop out to be engineering or becoming a doctor and sometimes someone would say becoming an IAS officer. And there I was meticulously thinking what I would be doing. But all thanks to my parents who didn’t lose hope In me despite me being a mediocre. And finally there I stood getting selecting in SPI with a study of about a month. But little did I knew how everything was about to change. Speaking about SPI it’s an great institution or a government initiative to increase the number of Maharashtrian youths in Indian defence service service. And true to its tradition SPI has given leaders not only in defence services but almost any sector you can spell. And that’s how my journey towards a great known started. I met my batchmates who where from all the different parts of Maharashtra, who were all achievers in their respective field. And trust me I learnt one thing, that how a good group of friends can streamline all your positive in your success. We practiced loudreading which improved our English, did debates which made us confident and knowledgeable chaps, played learned and thought all the sports and what sports and what not. But my first blow came on 12th November 2016 when my 1st NDA exam result was declared and I failed . And great blow to all my my expectations and preparations, which left me shattered. Well this continued with all my three attempts as well and I became least interested in telling to all those who are reading this caused the Charisma lies not in failing but learning from failures.
I did clear my NDA UPSC once in last attempt but got out in SSB. I intend living the story of failures there itself because that’s not important. What’s important is how willing are you to accept to accept the change, how desperate are you to improve and trust me there’s where the key lies. The more you expose yourself to new opportunities, new experience and new people, the more the chances of your growth. In my college life there was hardly any activity that I wouldn’t have taken part in. I almost took part in all the events, which made me menatally and physically strong. Moreover it added to new list of friends from whom you can learn so much in life. Weather that be playing for my college or or organising any event in it, I left no stone unturned what would keep me devoid of an experience. But that’s not the only thing, I also simultaneously studied for CDS and AFCAT exams . These are two exams that a person pursuing his graduation in BA and BSc can appear for getting into defence service. CDS is an exam which is conducted by UPSC whereas AFCAT is an independent exam conducted by Indian Air Force Force. Both these exams equally demand good study hours and excellent personality. Since clearing written exam is one part and clearing the SSB interview is another. SSB interviews are considered to be toughest amongst all the the interviews in India. Truly because Indian Defence requires a person with good practical knowledge and good mental stamina. And trust me, any person who aspires to join defence service ,works in a focused and targeted way can easily make it because soon or late the man who wins is the one WHO THINKS HE CAN!!!
SWEAT MORE IN PEACE,BLEED LESS DURING WAR
This proverb rightly emphasis on the kind of preparation that a person need to do when he his preparing for any adventure in his life and that adventure can be anything like your exam, your football match or getting to market to buy some groceries. Comming straight on point when you prepare for interview ,you must first check what does the process demand from you and then magnify all your potential towards that. For SSB I believe, it demand how much a person is aware about the environment he lives in, so read as much as you can. The topics roughly cover international news, national news, self information and clarity of thoughts and clarity of thoughts clarity of thoughts. Or joining any SSB coaching can boost the way you prepare. But atlast its your charisma and your will that can lead you in any career you want to pursue. A word for all my defence aspirants “we all have it in us”,its just matter of hard word and preparation.
