FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards were instituted in 2014 to recognize and felicitate the achievements and excellent work done by the institutions and individuals, who have set benchmarks of excellence and are doing inspirational and exemplary work in the higher education space.

Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian institutions that have a registered office in India can participate for the Awards
- Initiative/ project should have been completed and executed in the Indian operations of the participating institution
- Institution must have at least 5 years of operations in India as on October 31, 2020
- Institution must have at least one graduate or post graduate class in India as on October 31, 2020
- Initiative/ project described in the Awards application should have been implemented during the period April 1, 2018 to October 31, 2020
- Initiative/ project should have demonstrated a measurable impact in the higher education sector/institution during the period April 1, 2019 to October 31, 2020
- Participating institutions must be engaged primarily in providing higher education services in India. Organizations offering learning and training solutions are not eligible to participate
- Participant can send multiple application forms for same category or separate categories provided it is for a different initiative/ project. If multiple entry forms are received for same initiative/ project, then only one form will be considered, and others will be disqualified. In such cases, the Jury will take the final decision on which entry will be considered and moved to another round of the awards
- The final eligibility of the participant will be subject to the discretion and approval of the Jury
- The initiative/ project entered for the awards must be already implemented and should not be in a planning or conceptualizing stage
- Employees and immediate family members of the Awards management, sponsors and partners of the awards are not allowed to participate in the Awards
- An institution cannot participate on behalf of its sister units, parent institution or other institutions under the parent institution
