Sainik School were established in the country with the aim of preparing boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy and other Defence Academies, who hail from financially weaker sections of the society and thereby removing the regional imbalance for such entries in the Armed Forces.
School provides public school education to the children and the pattern of this School has been moulded scrupulously in such a way that the cadets studying herein acquire confidence leading to self-dependence, accommodating nature, high esteem and respect for the views of others, secular approach and an incessant longing for maintaining sound mind in the sound body which would ultimately make them successful in any walks of life.
Sainik School Satara is the first among all the Sainik schools in the country. Sainik schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE.
The entrance exams for all the Sainik schools will be conducted by the National Testing Agency. National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions

Eligibility for admission to class VI: Candidate must be between 10 and 12 years as on 31-03-21.
Eligibility for admission to class IX: Candidate must be between 13 and 15 years as on 31-03-21.
Exam Fee: 400/- SC/ST; 550 for all others
Apply online only at https://aissee.nta.nic.ac.in between 20th October 2020 and 19th November 2020. The exam fee is also required to be paid online through payment gateway, using debit/credit cards or internet banking or PAYTM Wallet.
